Description

Delicious and flavorful grilled chicken skewers marinated in yogurt and spices, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix yogurt, vegetable oil, lemon juice, and spices until smooth.
  2. Add chicken pieces and coat well with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (overnight preferred).
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and soak wooden skewers in water if using.
  4. Thread marinated chicken onto skewers with space in between for even cooking.
  5. Grill skewers for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through with charred edges.
  6. Remove from grill, let rest briefly, garnish with cilantro, and serve with lemon wedges.
