Description

A delicious stir-fried beef dish with colorful bell peppers, perfect served over rice or noodles.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef flank steak, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium)
  • 23 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (mixed colors)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (high smoke-point)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix sliced flank steak with soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat; add enough vegetable oil to coat the bottom.
  3. Sear marinated beef in batches until golden brown and crispy (about 3 minutes each side).
  4. Add sliced bell peppers and stir-fry for another 2 minutes. Pour in oyster sauce and mix well.
  5. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving hot over rice or noodles.

  • Ensure the beef is sliced thinly for quicker cooking.
