Description

A delicious baked dish with chicken, penne pasta, and a rich marinara sauce topped with cheese.


Ingredients

  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced chicken and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain without rinsing.
  5. In a bowl, combine cooked pasta with the chicken mixture gently.
  6. Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, then bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
