- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley for garnish
- Additional shredded cheese for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix the Meatballs: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the Meatballs: Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake: Place the meatballs in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
- Add Barbecue Sauce: Remove the meatballs from the oven and brush them generously with barbecue sauce.
- Return to Oven: Sprinkle additional cheese on top if desired. Return the meatballs to the oven for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish: Once done, remove the meatballs from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try mixing in some herbs like oregano or basil into the meatball mixture.
- If you prefer a spicier kick, add some crushed red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
- Make sure the meatballs are evenly sized to ensure consistent cooking.
