Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt butter in a round cake pan until bubbly, then sprinkle brown sugar evenly and arrange pineapple rings on top.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together granulated sugar and eggs until fluffy.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Fold in flour and baking powder gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter over the pineapple layer, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
