Ingredients

  • 6 medium apples
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 6 wooden sticks

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry apples. Insert a wooden stick into each apple.
  2. In a saucepan, mix sugar and water. Heat until sugar dissolves.
  3. Cook until the mixture turns golden brown.
  4. Remove from heat. Carefully stir in heavy cream, butter, vanilla, and salt.
  5. Let the caramel cool slightly. Dip each apple into the caramel, coating evenly.
  6. Place on parchment paper to set. Serve when caramel hardens.
