Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh citrus juice (oranges/lemons/grapefruits)
- 1/2 cup raw honey
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Zest the citrus fruits and juice them until you have 1 cup of juice.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine citrus juice, honey, water, cinnamon, ginger, and vanilla extract. Stir well.
- Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
- Strain through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl or jar and garnish with fresh citrus slices.
Notes
- Store leftover syrup in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- This syrup can be used as a sweetener for tea or as a topping for desserts.
