Description

This honey garlic salmon recipe is quick, easy, and packed with flavor, perfect for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (medium to large, about 56 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • ¼ cup hot honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C).
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them skin-side down in a 9×13-inch baking dish or another large oven-safe pan.
  3. Drizzle the fillets with olive oil and use your hands or a brush to coat them evenly on all sides.
  4. Season each fillet with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Bake uncovered for 8-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  6. While the salmon bakes, melt the butter and stir it into the hot honey until well combined.
  7. Remove the salmon from the oven and generously brush the tops with the hot honey mixture.
  8. Return the salmon to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should register between 125-135°F for medium to well-done.
  9. Optional: Broil for the last 1 to 2 minutes for more caramelized edges, watching carefully to avoid burning.
  10. Serve immediately with rice and mixed greens. Garnish with freshly minced parsley if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • For added flavor, marinate the salmon in the olive oil and spices for at least 30 minutes before baking.
