Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Make the Brownie Batter:
- In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat and mix in the cocoa powder until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the cocoa and butter mixture into the egg mixture while stirring continuously.
- Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt into the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined.
- Bake:
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- Cut and Decorate:
- Once cooled, cut the brownies into square pieces.
- Prepare the chocolate frosting and pipe swirls on top of each brownie to create the “tree” shape.
- Decorate with green and gold edible sprinkles or pearls.
- Top with a star-shaped decoration on each tree.
