Description
This glazed ham recipe features a sweet and tangy sauce made with brown sugar, orange marmalade, and Dijon mustard. Perfect for special occasions!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Brown Sugar (Substitute with coconut sugar for a healthier option.)
- 1/2 cup Orange Marmalade (Apricot preserves can be used if needed.)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard (Yellow mustard is a simpler alternative.)
- 1 piece Fully Cooked Bone-In Ham (6 to 8 lbs) (A spiral-cut ham works for easier slicing.)
- 12 pieces Whole Cloves (Optional for a more aromatic ham.)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Prepare your roasting pan with a rack.
- In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, orange marmalade, and Dijon mustard until well blended.
- Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern and insert cloves if desired.
- Position the ham cut side down in the roasting pan, cover with foil, and bake for about 2 hours until it reaches 130°F.
- Brush the prepared glaze over the ham, bake uncovered for another 10-15 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 140°F.
- Let the ham rest for 10-20 minutes before carving and serving.
Notes
- Using coconut sugar will create a healthier alternative without compromising flavor.
- If you prefer, apricot preserves can be substituted for orange marmalade.
- Covering the ham with foil while it bakes helps retain moisture.
