Description
A delicious and creamy banana latte made with espresso and banana milk.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 super ripe banana
- 1 1/4 cups milk of choice
- 1 tbsp cashew or almond butter
- 1 scoop collagen (*optional! I linked the brand I use in the notes!)
- 1/4–1/2 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of sea salt (Don’t skip!)
- 2 espresso shots
- banana milk, as needed
- 1 tbsp sweetener of choice (maple syrup, honey, monk fruit) (*maple syrup is delicious!)
- *Optional: I topped mine with a crushed Simple Mills sweet thin!
Instructions
- Add the banana milk ingredients to a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- For hot lattes: Add 2 shots of espresso into a tall, heat proof mug or glass. Gently warm the banana milk on the stove over low heat (do not boil), then pour it over the coffee. Taste and adjust to desired sweetness. To make it extra frothy, finish with a milk frother after combining. Stir & enjoy!
- For iced lattes: Add your banana milk to a glass, filling about 3/4 of the way full. Add 2 espresso shots, sweetener of choice, and ice. You can even top with some cold foam if you’d like! Stir & enjoy!
Notes
- For additional creaminess, you can use coconut milk.
- Make sure to use freshly brewed espresso for the best flavor.
