- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream, for topping

– Stir in the sweetened condensed milk until smooth and well combined.
– Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 3-4 hours, or until set. For best results, refrigerate overnight. - Whip the Cream:
– In a separate mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the vanilla extract. - Assemble the Dessert:
– In a large serving dish or trifle bowl, spread a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom.
– Add a layer of sliced bananas on top of the wafers.
– Spread a layer of the pudding mixture over the bananas.
– Add a layer of whipped cream on top of the pudding.
– Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of whipped cream on top. - Garnish:
– Decorate the top with additional slices of banana and crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers.
– Optionally, add a dollop of whipped cream to finish. - Chill and Serve:
– Cover and refrigerate the assembled dessert for at least 2-3 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- Use ripe bananas for the best flavor.
- For added texture, toast the vanilla wafers lightly before assembling.
- Ensure the pudding is well set before adding it to the layers to maintain structure.
- This dessert can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator for convenience.
