Description

A delicious and cheesy appetizer perfect for any gathering!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook Beef Mixture: In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Prepare Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle. Cut the dough into strips, roughly 3 inches wide and 6 inches long.
  4. Assemble Breadsticks: Place a spoonful of the beef mixture on each strip of dough. Top with a sprinkle of both mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Roll each dough strip around the filling, pinching the edges to seal.
  5. Bake: Arrange the stuffed breadsticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each breadstick with melted butter. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  6. Serve: Remove from oven and garnish with chopped parsley. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
  • Serve with marinara or ranch sauce for dipping.
  • You can customize the filling by adding other ingredients such as bell peppers, mushrooms, or spinach.
  • Ensure that the edges of the dough are well-sealed to prevent cheese from oozing out.
