Description

A delicious bread loaf stuffed with gooey cheese and crispy bacon, perfect for gatherings or as a snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 large loaf of bread (preferably sourdough or Italian)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Bread: Cut the top off the loaf of bread and hollow out the center, leaving about an inch of bread on all sides. Brush the inside of the loaf with melted butter.
  3. Cook the Bacon: Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble when cool.
  4. Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine mozzarella, cheddar cheese, minced garlic, and crumbled bacon. Mix well.
  5. Fill the Bread: Stuff the cheese and bacon mixture into the hollowed-out bread loaf, pressing down to ensure it’s packed in.
  6. Bake the Bread: Place the filled bread loaf on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish: Remove the loaf from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley and a drizzle of olive oil.
