Description

A delicious combination of crispy fries, melted cheese, and savory bacon, topped with fresh parsley for an extra touch!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups frozen French fries
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven – Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Cook the Fries – Spread the frozen fries on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning halfway through the cooking time.
  3. Cook the Bacon – While the fries are baking, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and let it drain on paper towels. Once cool, crumble the bacon into small pieces.
  4. Prepare the Cheese Mixture – In a bowl, mix together the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  5. Assemble the Loaded Fries – Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the oven and transfer them to an oven-safe dish. Sprinkle the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper over the fries. Evenly distribute the cheese mixture over the fries. Top the cheese with crumbled bacon.
  6. Melt the Cheese – Place the fries back into the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish and Serve – Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • For an extra flavor boost, consider adding jalapeños or sliced green onions on top.
  • If you prefer a spicier kick, sprinkle some cayenne pepper over the fries before baking.
  • Substitute any cheese of your preference to suit your taste. Pepper jack cheese adds a nice spice.
