Description
A delicious combination of crispy fries, melted cheese, and savory bacon, topped with fresh parsley for an extra touch!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups frozen French fries
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 8 slices bacon
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven – Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Cook the Fries – Spread the frozen fries on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning halfway through the cooking time.
- Cook the Bacon – While the fries are baking, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and let it drain on paper towels. Once cool, crumble the bacon into small pieces.
- Prepare the Cheese Mixture – In a bowl, mix together the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
- Assemble the Loaded Fries – Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the oven and transfer them to an oven-safe dish. Sprinkle the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper over the fries. Evenly distribute the cheese mixture over the fries. Top the cheese with crumbled bacon.
- Melt the Cheese – Place the fries back into the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve – Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- For an extra flavor boost, consider adding jalapeños or sliced green onions on top.
- If you prefer a spicier kick, sprinkle some cayenne pepper over the fries before baking.
- Substitute any cheese of your preference to suit your taste. Pepper jack cheese adds a nice spice.
